beauty is everywhere

…many years ago, inspired by the so called ‚dream time‘ the philosophy of the native inhabitants of Australia, I started to bring my inner imaginations first on paper then on canvas. I got attracted by colors, structures and haptic. Oddly enough I never could finish my paintings. Unfinished they gave company trough many years…until I found accidentally very old black/white negatives which I made when my daughter was a child. This incident gave the motivation to develop all the film rolls again, to sort them and to pick the best ones to show them in public. They were kind of a historically document about the last summer in East Berlin and furthermore my grandmother and my little daughter right in the middle of it. So I planned my first exhibition. I finished also most of my paintings to bring them into the Vernissage.

The exhibition and the feedback I got gave me the strength to consider myself for the first time as an artist who has to say and to give something to people.

The paintings and I developed simultaneously, always in progress and all of the sudden they became sensuosly- literally. They want to get seen, touched and even heard… So, I opened up myself for the amazing world of sounds, noise- music. Making music. Creating a sound, a landscape of sounds, a carpet you can move on while watching my paintings brought  me to a new level of creativity. To find a sound which communicates with my visual ideas and get connected with it enjoyed me so much that I wanted to share it with the people who like my work.

My way of painting is a contemplative, meditative and calming down work. It is sensorial, satisfying and productive. To share and to transport these sensations, to provide these to the people who are watching my art, is one of the intentions why I created this website.

As soon as I finish a painting I can feel immediately how much it wants to get out into the world to be there for the people to bring joy and delight.

When I reach this point the circle has closed and I’m excited and looking forward to the next empty canvas.

This website is an invitation to discover and to celebrate the imperfection and to find the beauty in there…
